Your opportunity to join our team
As the Production Planning Manager you will be responsible for leading the Production Planning team to deliver plans which consider plant and labour utilisation whilst ensuring the inventory is in line with customer demand. You will work closely with Operations, Farming, Demand, Sales and other state planning teams who are passionate about improving efficiencies and delivering the highest quality product to our customers.
Responsibilities include
- Engage, lead, motivate and develop your team through effective people management strategies, ensuring capability of people to achieve individual, team and overall objectives.
- Work closely with the Operations, Farming and sales teams will be part of the national supply planning team to generate master production plans and schedules to effectively fulfil the end to end supply chain requirements.
- Capture the process constraints and further optimise tools required.
- Monitor and measure performance and communicate to appropriate parties.
- Create reporting to provide insights on critical performance areas.
- Conduct analysis and use historical data to assist in identifying resource improvement opportunities.
- Work with Livestock supply team to develop optimal factory plans, weekly and daily agility.
- Work closely with distribution team and the replenishment teams, to optimise interstate transfers and overall demand fulfilment.
- Collaborate with replenishment and sales teams on managing inventory exceptions.
You will bring to this role
- Experience and knowledge of managing a planning function in complex working environment. Ideally within the FMCG, manufacturing or distribution industry. Short shelf life industry preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the strong capabilities of working with multiple pieces of data and transforming them into meaningful relevant information for the wider business to understand
- Advanced Microsoft Skills, High fluency in Excel.
- Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inclusive management style, with the capabilities to engage a team and create a collaborative working environment.
- Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.
- Highly resilient.
Qualifications/Licences
- Tertiary qualification in Business or similar discipline, APICS (ASCI) or other supply chain qualifications seen as highly regarded.
