About the Role
As Australia's fifth-largest iron ore producer, MinRes operates three key hubs in Western Australia: Yilgarn, Pilbara, and Ashburton. This portfolio includes the transformational Onslow Iron project, which ranks among the largest iron ore projects currently under development in Australia. The project is forecast to ship around 35 million tonnes of ore per year.
Reporting to the Integrated Planning Superintendent, your focus will be on developing and maintaining the demand chain schedules, spanning from the mine stockyard to ocean-going vessels. Initially based at our Osborne Park office, this position will transition into a site-based role at the Port of Ashburton on an 8:6 (days) and 7:7 (nights) roster in September / October 2024.
Your primary responsibilities may include:
- Creating and modifying monthly, weekly, and daily schedules using schedule assist tools, maintenance schedules, and weather conditions.
- Ensuring the timely delivery of optimised demand chain schedules to all relevant stakeholders.
- Engaging stakeholders and maintaining regular communication to assist with delivering demand chain schedules.
- Helping foster a positive safety culture and behaviours within the team.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in demand chain planning, including exposure to bulk commodity supply chains.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Maritime or port operations experience.
- The ability to obtain a Maritime Security Card (MSIC).
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Whilst not essential, a tertiary qualification in a supply chain, marine, or mining-related discipline will be viewed favourably.
