The Role:
This role is responsible for providing end-to-end supply chain support, forecasting, and managing inventory across our global supply chain and three warehouses. Our Demand Planner will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely, cost effective, and ethical procurement of goods across all sites.
Main Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end demand planning and supply chain coordination for the Group
• Key interface between the Group and its freight providers
• Organise freight bookings, quotations, invoices and customs reconciliations
• Generate and manage inventory purchase orders with suppliers
• Forecast demand and purchasing requirements based on historical data, trends, seasonality and sales targets
• Track and report on demand planning, supply chain and procurement metrics such as contractual minimum order quantities
• Develop and implement procurement-related policies and procedures, ensuring a standardised approach is applied Group wide
• Identify and assess potential efficiencies and risks to the supply chain, including the development of contingency plans to mitigate risks
• Maintain a Supplier Relationship Management framework
• Preparation of regular reporting for key suppliers
• Work closely with Operations, Finance, Sales and Marketing teams
• Occasional travel to Sydney and Auckland (2-4 trips per annum)
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
• Experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge and application of procurement and demand planning principles
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and analytical skills
• Understanding of business and financial drivers, performance measures and financial modelling
• High computer literacy, including advanced Excel
• Strong stakeholder management, with excellent written/verbal communication skills
Advantageous:
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central and/or Power BI
• International supply chain experience
