Demi Chef at Hyatt Centric Melbourne
Based in the Melbourne CBD, the Demi Chef is a vital role within Hyatt Centric Melbourne’s culinary team. The Demi Chef will be responsible for assisting with the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel’s kitchens, by creating Melbourne best dishes and experiences.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- To ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and are of high quality
- To organize and set up their assigned section of the kitchen effectively
- To assist the Chef De Cuisine in ensuring culinary standards comply with the Hyatt’s policies, procedures and standards
- Ensure all kitchens are kept hygienically clean and follow necessary food safety practices
- To assist management with the training of new associates when needed
About you:
- 2+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced high end restaurant or hotel
- Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher
- A good understanding of HACCP and hygiene practices
- Willingness to learn all aspects of the kitchen and work in both the restaurant and events
- Good communication skills, attitude and be a team player
