About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and talented chef who wants to join a team that priorities diversity, inclusion in a professional and fun working environment
As a Demi Chef de Partie you will be responsible to supervise the assigned station / section of the outlet kitchen, in order to prepare a consistent, high quality product and ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet’s operating concept of classic dishes with a contemporary twist using fresh and local produce.
Some of the responsibilities include
  • Working in the main kitchen which services both our Promenade Café, Tea Lounge and in room dining the successful applicant can expect an engaging, clean & safe environment.
  • To maintain the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
  • To follow standard recipes and minimise waste to help ensure that the outlet’s food cost is in line with budget.
  • To train the associates as necessary in the preparation and presentation of the items.
  • To suggest alternative menu items, meet specific customer requests and interact with customers to meet and exceed their culinary expectations.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will have:
  • Recent experience in a la carte dining, preferably in hotels.
  • Experience in luxury international brands, highly regarded
  • Qualification in Kitchen Production
  • Demonstrated in-depth skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
  • A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast paced customer service environment
