About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and talented chef who wants to join a team that priorities diversity, inclusion in a professional and fun working environment. As a Demi Chef de Partie you will be responsible to supervise the assigned station / section of the outlet kitchen, in order to prepare a consistent, high-quality product and ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet’s operating concept of classic dishes with a contemporary twist using fresh and local produce. Some of the responsibilities include.Working in the main kitchen which services both our Promenade Café, Tea Lounge and in room dining the successful applicant can expect an engaging, clean & safe environment.To maintain the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times.To follow standard recipes and minimise waste to help ensure that the outlet’s food cost is in line with budget.To train the associates as necessary in the preparation and presentation of the items.To suggest alternative menu items, meet specific customer requests and interact with customers to meet and exceed their culinary expectations. A successful candidate will have:Recent experience in a la carte dining, preferably in hotels.Experience in luxury international brands, highly regardedQualification in Kitchen ProductionDemonstrated in-depth skills and knowledge of kitchen operationsComprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
