About us:
We're a fast-growing clinic looking to build up a strong presence in the area as a digitally driven clinic over time.
While we value hard work and passion, we also understand that everyone has goals and lives that may exist outside of dentistry, and our aim is to find a working situation that fits everyone involved - we are willing to go the extra mile for the right candidate.
We are looking for:
We are looking for someone who has a strong modern focus and is able and willing to learn about new software/digital dental nursing. Proficiency with computers is a MUST. All training is provided for the relevant dental software so you don't need to be an expert, just need to have the willingness to learn whatever you don't already know.
We're also looking for someone willing to stay on long-term and be promoted within the clinic, and we're willing to pay for that kind of experience/career plan. Any previous Dental Assistant experience is highly favored.
Our team is extremely friendly and always willing to help, so if you bring your A-game to the table the job can be an extremely rewarding position monetarily, career and work-life balance-wise.
We are looking for a New Dental Assistant as our previous DA is moving rural for work due to her visa.
The role:
The role is Part-Time but we are also happy to negotiate if Full Time is needed. This includes 3-4 days a week at the moment, including Saturdays and late nights.
Duties include:
- Chairside nursing duties
- Sterilization and instrument re-processing
- Fortnightly stocktake and order as a team
- Assisting other team members as needed
- Learning reception duties after you become proficient with chairside nursing so that you're an all-rounder by the end of the year (booking appointments, answering calls and queries)
What we look for:
- A great and can-do attitude towards learning
- Not being afraid to admit you've made mistakes - we've all made them before, but being able to be open and transparent about it so we can help you fix it is very important
- Flexibility with hours around holidays so everyone gets a fair amount of time off
- Being able to take feedback well in your first few months as your senior team members help you learn the ropes
- Good observation skills - watching how your trainer does things and picking it up yourself
- Take the initiative once you're past your training stages so that we can rely on you to have your duties covered from the big things to the little things
Please let us know:
1. How much experience do you have in dental nursing; however prior experience is not necessary as we provide full training for the right candidate
2. If there are any days or hours that you prefer or you are unavailable;
3. Your Meyers Briggs personality type (https://www.16personalities.com/ [link removed]) - we promise that this is the only hoop we'll make you jump through, it takes 10 min and helps us communicate with you better both during the interview and on the job itself.
