Dental Assistant / Front Office Coordinator

With ongoing training and support provided, we would like to hear from passionate, dedicated and customer centric Dental Assistant / Front Office Coordinator interested in working on a full-time / part-time / casual basis with Saturday work included, as available.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Managing duties of front desk
• Managing the appointment book to ensure appointment gaps are minimised, missed appointments are followed up, appointment times are appropriate for the procedure(s)
• Provide chair-side dental assistance, instrument reprocessing and sterilisation procedures if needed
• Controlling stock including practice equipment, stationery and any dental supplies as required
• Use of HICAPS, Medicare and private accounts
• Liaising with the dentists, patients and other staff members

The successful candidate will bring to the practice the following skills and experience:

• Commitment, reliability, flexibility and have good work ethics
• Current dental experience, Cert III preferred.
• Minimum of 12 months in dentistry is preferred though new / non-dental background welcome to apply
• Exceptional customer service and phone skills
• Passion for patient care, empathy and communication is a must
• EXACT experience is an advantage
• Negotiation to work after hours and potential weekends 
• Ability to prioritise and multitask in a busy practice
• Have your own transport

Remuneration will be above award for the person who is good fit for the practice.
