We are looking for a part-time Dental Assistant/Senior Dental Assistant to join our Hurstville practice for 2-3 days a week on Tue - Thu.

About the role:
As a Dental Assistant, you will be a crucial member of our team, providing support to the orthodontist and ensuring the smooth flow of patient care. This role involves a combination of clinical assistance, patient interaction, lab work and administrative support. Opportunity also exists to work in our Gordon practice.

Duties and responsibilities include:- Greet patients in a warm and friendly manner, creating a welcoming environment
- Chairside assistance to orthodontist or hygienist ensuring efficient and smooth operation of the clinic, anticipating the needs of the clinician
- Prepare the clinic with appropriate instruments and materials
- Sterilise and maintain the supply of dental instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays, intra/extraoral photos, scans and impressions
- Update and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Take patient notes, schedule appointments
- Monitor, restocking and ordering of supplies
- Assist with laboratory work – pouring models and making retainers
- Instruct patients on treatment information and care instructions
Desired skills and experience- Prior orthodontic or dental experience
- Customer service or reception experience
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded
