Our Dental Surgery has been serving the local community for the last 38 years and is extremely patient oriented.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Working independently when required
- Provide personalised oral hygiene advice and education to patients
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records on patients charts
- Take and develop digital imaging as required (photographs, x-rays, intra oral pictures etc)
- Perform Whitening procedures
- Understand and adhere to all OH&S safety requirements
- Follow infection control guidelines and protocol
- Liaise with dental professionals and industry sales representatives
- Willing to assist with reception and sterilization duties
Skills and experience
- Current unrestricted registration as a Dental Hygienist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA);
- Recent participation in continuous professional development activities in accordance with APHRA;
- Current licence for use of dental intra-oral radiography where required by AHPRA and relevant State legislation;
- Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification;
- Exceptional communication skills
- Organized with the ability to multi-task, take direction and advice
- Experience preferred
- Have high standards of clinical and practice standards
