We are rapidly growing and seeking to appoint a clinical assistant on a part or Full time basis (days to be agreed with the suitable candidate).
The successful applicant will be representative of a dynamic individual who enjoys working within a fast-paced specialist environment and is comfortable with the day-to-day requirements of running a well-established dental and/or specialist medical practice. The suitable candidate will be a key team member and responsible for assisting clinically and working within the clinical and administration team to deliver high quality customer service with our patients.
Responsibilities:
The clinical and reception team works collaboratively and maintain responsibility for day to day reception/clinical duties within the practice. As a member of the team it is important to implement practice processes as the main resource for patients from first point of contact, perform clinical duties through to follow up of patients. It is vital that the successful candidate demonstrated high-quality customer service skills.
Core functions (in conjunction with team members):
- Responsible for day-to-day clinical duties as required (training to be provided)
- Able to act independently and make accurate decisions with exceptional focus on attention to detail.
- Demonstrate well developed writing skills with accuracy to content written
- Demonstrates positive team member skills with capacity to works with others within a professional medical specialist environment
- Act as a team member in accordance with the position description.
- Work with all team members in completing clinical support and administration duties including preparation of patient information for surgery, 3D scanning (Training may be offered), prepare and assist with LA days, clinically assist in hospital theatre sessions with the specialist, whilst ensuring patients have all information in preparation for their procedure/surgery.
- Responsible for consumable stock - ordering process
- Function in a highly organised and time efficient manner at all times
Required skills/experience:
- Willing to participate in practice processes to assist with streamlining of process
- Demonstrated dental assisting skills (Cert III dental assisting or demonstrated minimum 3 years current experience)
- A sound knowledge base of dental based procedures
- Demonstrates outstanding people skills with the ability to relate well to patients and health care professionals/external health facilities
- Must have the ability and personality to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates a high level of motivation with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
