Dr Anand is a rehabilitation dental surgeon with a special interest and advanced training in prosthodontics and dental implants. The team at Extreme Dentistry provides a wide range of preventive, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, designed to deliver optimum results with a focus on delivering cutting-edge dental care using modern treatment techniques.
Qualifications & experience required
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent
- Minimum 2-year experience in reception in a dental practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organisation skill
- Proven ability to be punctual, reliable and multitask
- Experience in record management and administrative tasks
- Experience in working fast-paced environment
- Pleasant personality and ability to build rapport with colleagues and patients
- Problem solving skills
- Knowledge and experience in Infection control and how to process dental instrument in a sterilisation room
- Physical fitness
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children's Card (Ochre Card)
- Flexible availability in working hours
Tasks & responsibilities
- Opening & closing the surgery
- Undertake reception and customer service duties, including, but not limited to, answering the telephone, collecting payments and carrying out general office duties
- Schedule appointments effectively
- Manage an email account and record keeping
- Greet patients and prepare them for scheduled dental procedures
- Provide assistance to other team members to prepare the treatment room as directed and ensure correct instruments and materials are available for use
- Provide assistance to other team members at chair side as required
- Clean and sterilise the instruments prior to and after treatment
- Clean the surgery and treatment room according to the practice’s infection control policies and procedures
- Provide the principle dentist with administrative assistance, including the maintenance and re-stock of dental and office supplies
- Coordinate treatment plans and appointments
