About the role:
GV Health is located in central Victoria is just 2 hours drive north of Melbourne with proximity to alpine snowfields, rivers and lakes, wineries, the arts; we enjoy glorious weather, great lifestyle and the sports and attractions of a major regional city. GV Health Dental Services are currently seeking an experienced Dental Technician to work with the current team in a modern and fully equipped dental laboratory. The Position is responsible for providing technical support to clinicians at the clinic. The successful applicant will possess a recognised Dental Technician qualification and a knowledge of Infection Control Standards and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills together with a working knowledge of computers.
The Dental Technician will report directly to the Dental Laboratory Manager and provide technical support to the Dental Service clinicians in accordance with health care standards, legislation and GV Health's framework and guidelines.
The Dental Technician will provide professional advice and mentoring to team members when required.
The successful applicant will:
- Have Diploma in Dental Technology or equivalent
- Provide a high quality service to clinicians and consumers that reflects best practice and adds value to GV Health
- Produce high quality technical work within the Dental Laboratory
- Maintain targets of throughout of appliance construction within the laboratory
- Will provide advice to first year graduate dentists, and dental students on technical matters, laboratory procedures and removable appliance therapy.
- Participate in mentoring the Apprentice Dental Technician when necessary
- Contribute to the daily operation of the Dental Laboratory
