About the roleThe successful candidate will become part of an experienced and dedicated public dental team, with the backing of numerous seasoned clinicians and dental assistants who are enthusiastic about mentoring new graduates. We ideally seek someone available for full-time work, Monday through Friday.
While this role will primarily be stationed in Horsham/Dimboola, the successful applicant may occasionally be needed to participate in community dental projects at schools and kindergartens.
Key Responsibilities
- Formally recognized tertiary qualifications in Oral Health Therapy Dentistry
- Current registration by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Oral Health Therapist
- Operator Licence to use Irradiating Apparatus as specified in the Health (Radiation Safety) Regulations
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence and reliable transport
- Substantial knowledge of all aspects of dentistry, embracing contemporary approaches relevant to the target population
- Demonstrated highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide consultancy services on a broad range of issues related to dental services
- Awareness of and sensitivity to the unique requirements of clients from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds
