With over 3400 students across 3 metropolitan campuses and our student experience programs in Yarra Junction and Kakadu, Caulfield Grammar passionately strives to deliver innovative specialist educational programs enabling quality learning every day, in every experience, for every learner, for life.The RoleAs a member of Caulfield Grammar Schools Executive and Campus Leadership team, the Deputy Principal – Head of Wheelers Hill Secondary Campus will oversee and lead the implementation of the strategic agenda of the School and be a pedagogical leader dedicated to driving the outcomes of the Teaching and Learning agenda.As a member of the School Executive and Campus Leadership Team, the Head of Wheelers Hill Secondary will effectively lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the campus, while demonstrating system thinking as part of our One School approach.Key Duties
- Demonstrate a One School approach through active collaboration with the Campus Leadership Team, alignment between the campuses, co-curricular areas and the 2031 Strategy.
- Oversee the development and delivery of Campus operational plans.
- Lead the investigation and implementation of School initiatives to leverage operational improvement.
- Management and implementation of systems to monitor standards of safety, social conduct, uniform, punctuality and attendance.
- Pursue academic excellence with a passion, delivering outstanding outcomes
- Ensure high quality and inclusive teaching and learning standards are delivered through continually developing, reviewing, and refining learning strategies.
- Identify improvement opportunities and enhance the schools learning programme for students and employees (IB/PYP Program).
- Assist in developing the School’s internal capability, including a high-performance culture identifying talent focussed on excellence and improvement.
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved throughout the School.
- Work with members of the School Executive in the development and execution of a long-term plan for the Capital Works for the campus; including oversight of large-scale capital projects.
- Deliver the School’s vision, strategy and values with a sense of shared purpose and direction, creating alignment within and between the sub-schools and co-curricular areas.
- Be aware of, understand and ensure compliance with the School’s Child Safety Code of Conduct, including the Child Safe Standards, and all relevant policies and procedures.
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
- Experience leading and implementing Teaching and Learning outcomes in a School with an outstanding reputation.
- Previous senior leadership experience in a large secondary educational school; experience with complex, multiple-campus schools ideal.
- Experience in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) is desirable.
- Experience in leading pedagogical and curriculum change; the ability to operationalise strategic decisions, enhance culture, and enable quality learning.
- Experience designing, leading and executing large scale, system thinking projects/initiatives, across complex and/or multi-campus schools.
- Proven exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hold a current VIT Registration.
