The Position
Billanook College is a leading, non-selective, independent school in Melbourne. Its focus on academic excellence is supported by an equal focus on the holistic development of each student to maximise their competence, skills, and capacity, to ensure they are ready to take the next step into life.
Reporting to the Principal, the Head of Teaching and Learning (Secondary) is responsible for the vision and leadership in curriculum development in the Secondary School. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, innovative and a strong educational leader who can consider the future of education delivery whilst staying connected with contemporary practices to drive a culture of excellence. The appointee will demonstrate a strong ability to build relationships, have experience dealing with the dynamic nature of a school environment of this size, and be measured and calm in their approach.
The Organisation
Billanook College is an independent co-educational school with an early learning program through to Year 12, located in Mooroolbark, Melbourne, Victoria, with approximately 908 students. It operates in association with the Uniting Church in Australia and is a member of Round Square.
