Our Clinical Services team at Port Phillip Prison is seeking an experienced allied health professional for the role of Deputy Senior Clinician to assist with the management of a multidisciplinary team and provide offending behaviour assessments, interventions, and programs for service users placed in a maximum security prison environment.
Working with a team of clinicians on programs to reduce violent offending behaviour, you'll support a diverse cohort with complex mental health, addiction, offending history, and young adult needs, to obtain the best outcomes for service users in our care.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Screening and assessing prisoners' suitability for offending behaviour programs
- Delivering a range of programs and interventions, both individually and in group settings, and providing program assessment, treatment, and evaluation reports to key stakeholders
- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, including Corrections Victoria, DFFH, NDIS, Forensicare and St Vincent's Correctional Health
- Working with multidisciplinary teams, with demonstrated aptitude for providing leadership and support
- Understanding and communicating about a range of offending behavior models and the application of these in a forensic setting
Apply your skills by undertaking a complex clinical caseload and assisting with the management of a multidisciplinary team to make a difference to the entire prison cohort.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a correctional or forensic environment or with offender populations
- The ability to successfully engage with and assess people from diverse backgrounds, including those from high-risk groups and in particular, people presenting with challenging and complex backgrounds and behaviours
- The ability to successfully engage with and lead a multidisciplinary team with a range of prior experience
