Dermatology Practice Nurse Div 1 Or Div 2

The Dermatology Institute of Victoria is located in South Yarra offering a full range of general medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

Our team has a broad range of expertise covering vast aspects of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, combining the best of medical care with state-of-the-art laser and surgical technology to ensure the best outcome for the patient.    

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated registered nurse to join our terrific team who is after a full time position as a Practice Nurse.   Previous experience would be advantageous, however not essential for the right applicant as full training will be provided. 

This is a great opportunity to grow with this innovative practice  whilst learning about all aspects of medical, surgical and cosmetic  dermatology.  

The successful applicant will have the following key responsibilities:

• Delivery of safe, comprehensive and effective nursing care; 
• Assisting Practitioners in skin treatments
• Post operative wound care
• Patient communication and follow-up
• Instrument sterilisation
• Medical supply management
• Triage and Patient Assessment
• Photography
• Support our practitioners in providing individualised treatment planning
• Patient Education & Support both Pre and Post Treatments;
• Preparing patients for minor cosmetic and dermatological procedures
• Some administration tasks.

You must have:

• Ability to prioritise and have excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, be empathetic and have effective communication whilst delivering a high standard of clinical care.
• Current AHPRA nursing registration with Medical Endorsement
• Willingness to participate in extra training
• Excellent presentation.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of medical software such as Genie or similar;
• Surgical and/or cosmetic experience.
• Private practice experience in a dermatology, plastic surgery practice, skin cancer clinic or similar

We are open Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm .  

There is free onsite parking available as well as being close to public transport.
