Airflite’s Defence Division operates from four primary Airflite locations; at Perth Airport in WA, Moorabbin Airport in VIC, RAAF Pearce in WA and RAAF Williamtown in NSW.
Airflite is seeking expressions of interest from a suitably qualified Design Engineer to join our Defence Integrated Logistics Support Team at our Moorabbin Airport Defence Support Centre, to assist us with delivery of technical and supply services to support the Australian Defence Force’s diverse inventory of Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (ALSE).
To succeed in this role will require energy, discipline and the ability to work as part of a small and dynamic team, servicing a demanding ADF client. The role will be diverse and include responsibility for the delivery of all technical aspects of the ALSE Support Contract including:
• system engineering activity,
• system safety,
• verification and validation,
• engineering management and organisation,
• technical data management.
Candidates must have the following attributes:
• Four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree under an Australian accredited or recognised program in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Electronics, Software or Electrical Engineering.
• Have or be able to obtain Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with the Institute of Engineers Australia or equivalent.
• Demonstrate experience in the use of the standard suite of Microsoft tools.
Although not essential, experience in the use of standard Australian Defence Engineering and Logistics Management systems and processes (e.g. MILIS, Emerald 2, ADDASS etc) will be a definite advantage, along with existing or recent Defence Protected Network and Objective access, and experience with Export Controlled items.
