Signalling Design Manager

Randstad is proud to partner with Queensland Rail (QR) on a major international recruitment drive to
source signalling professionals from around the globe. As part of this major recruitment drive, we are
looking to identify experienced Signalling Design Managers for their Major Projects and Integration
division (MPI).

QR operates passenger and freight rail services across Queensland, and is committed to providing a
customer-focused, safe and world-class rail service. It is also responsible for the maintenance of a 6600
kilometre rail network and the effective delivery of projects to improve the efficiency and increase the
capacity of its rail assets.
QR has a current project pipeline of over A$10 billion and this is expected to grow exponentially in the
build up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. As a result of this significant investment, the need to secure in-
house signalling and systems assurance resources is paramount to support the Major Projects and
Integration division (MPI). MPI is currently delivering Cross River Rail, which includes the
installation/commissioning of ETCS level 2 and the Fast Rail project from Brisbane to the Sunshine
Coast.

Responsibilities of the role include:

● Lead the delivery of signalling design for the Major Projects programme of works
● Ensure QR signalling design documentation standards are applied and specifications met
● Manage design teams to deliver signalling scope
● Provide technical support for all signalling design projects
● Lead and manage succession planning and team development

To be successful in this role:

● Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
● Proven signalling design management experience
● IRSE Accreditation
● Excellent leadership and communication skills
