Join Our Client's Dynamic Team as a Design Manager/ Director!
My Clients' Civil Infrastructure Business is seeking a highly motivated Design Manager/Director to lead pursuits and deliver major projects. This role involves close collaboration with the Civil Infrastructure Group Leaders in WA, expanding their capabilities across NWA/ANZ.
Utilizing your strong local network, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills, you'll drive innovative approaches for business development to maximize opportunities across the region.
Qualifications:
  • Take on the role as Project Director/Project Manager/Design Manager as required.
  • Lead successful delivery of major transportation infrastructure projects, including client contract negotiations and fulfillment of contract obligations.
  • Accurately scope out tasks and projects, negotiate variations, claims, and commercial disputes.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks, meet objectives, and take accountability for results.
  • Monitor and track task progress against evolving requirements and deadlines.
  • Set clear goals and targets for self, team, and stakeholders.
  • Take personal accountability for own and project team actions and decisions.
  • Proactively manage priorities for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Detect and address problems and obstacles early.
  • Responsible for budgetary control of complex projects, forecasting project expenditure and program performance.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers on the project where appropriate and ensure compliance with the relevant form of subcontract.
  • Lead the development and implementation of client growth strategies.
  • Identify project opportunities early and drive positioning to win.
  • Lead key major project tenders.
  • Drive client engagement activities and gather feedback.
  • Be the point of escalation management.
  • Mentor and train members of the highways team.
  • Possess extensive expertise in stakeholder consultation and management.
  • Proven track record with large client program management and pursuit execution.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Ideally, 20+ years of experience in a similar position, building upon local client relationships.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent recognized professional engineering body.
