Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has become available for a Design & Technical Services Manager, Pacific to join our team. You will be responsible for the interpretation of incoming project opportunities, ongoing project management and proposal of design concepts to improve product delivery across the Pacific region.
Getting to know the role and your responsibilities.
- Prepare the project hotel space program and analyse spatial requirements to ensure efficiency and functionality.
- Coordinate and integrate the information supplied by Accor experts (standards and specifications for design, construction, MEP & specialized equipment and OS&E)
- Provide Development assistance such as area scheduling (space planning), project programming and reviewing of plans, layouts and project documentation for all premium, mid-scale and economy brands.
- Review, offer potential improvements and approve design documentation.
- Attend regular project team meetings to ensure that the AccorHotels standards (design, operation, maintenance, etc.) of the different hotels are met.
- Propose opportunities / design concepts for improvements to core brand standards.
- Assist during the pre-opening phase including defect inspection, and handover review.
- Maintain awareness of market leading technologies and concepts required to ensure future proofing of design development.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience specializing in hospitality interior design.
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design/architecture.
- Comprehensive understanding of building codes and standards relevant to the region.
- Experience in dealing with owners, operators, international and local consultants.
- Experience with project management/design review software packages preferred
- Experience with drafting software preferred
- Good public relations and leadership skills
