Empire Office Furniture has been blitzing the Office Furniture marketplace for over 40 years. We own and operate nine retail stores across QLD and NSW, servicing many high-profile corporate organisations, government and small business customers.
This opportunity is permanent full time, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, based in our Mackay branch.
This role is more than just delivering furniture, you will be part of the Branch Despatch team and undertake furniture assembling tasks both in branch and on site on a daily basis.
Some of the tasks you will be doing, but are not limited to:
- Build, deliver and install office furniture and workstations to a wide range of business, government and domestic customers
- Check that all goods to be collected / delivered match the product details/ descriptions/ serial numbers on invoices, delivery dockets etc
- Use company vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner
- Unload stock bi-weekly from our distribution warehouse
- Work with the despatch supervisor to maintain a well-organised and clean workspace
- Interact and communicate with our staff, customers and suppliers in a safe and professional manner that lives up to our reputation of excelling our customers' needs and requirements
Attributes to be successful in this role:
- Ability to assemble furniture in our warehouse and on site
- Physically fit, able to lift and move furniture items
- Demonstrated professional customer service as you are the face of our business when interacting with customers
- Tap into your experience to support and assist other team members grow and learn
- Competent at using power tools
- Trade or Handyman background is a bonus!
