About the Role:
The task of the Detailer/Yard Hand is to work effectively within the workshop environment and complete as directed by the After Sales Manager. This role requires efficient work practices, attention to detail and a proactive approach to complete their duties for Porter Equipment within the Service Department.
The developmental nature of this position is essential to the success of Porter Equipment Australia business plans and is necessary to ensure that best practice is pursued for PEA and our customers at all times.

Duties:
- Adhere to Workshop Safety protocols, work safely as an individual but also as part the Dalby team
- Complete wash and detail duties as required for the machine fleets
- Complete basic machine inspections, photograph and detail as required
- Move and position machines and attachments within the compound
- Ready machines for hire – Including refuel/operational checks
- Control machine loading and unloading in the Narellan yard
- Develop best work practices with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
- Maintain and uphold the company values
- Be prepared to work past the standard work hours and meet the needs of the Business
- Adhere to the safety guidelines and structure that exist within the Service Department and Porter Equipment Facility
- Upkeep the workshop and compound cleanliness
- Work as required under the direction of Workshop staff
Skills and Experience:
We are ideally seeking motivated individual with a strong commitment to product quality and presentation including;
- Previous experience in a similar role and or exposure to the heavy machinery well regarded
- Sound level of mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver's licence
- Sound communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously or in a team
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards
- Attention to detail
