About your new role: Working as the DevOps Specialist in our Retail Platform digital team, you will play a pivotal role in defining the technical direction for our customers. You will be a member of a small team of front-end developers, providing guidance and support in the implementation of our modern Retail Customer Portal and other new products for our Retail business. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring seamless delivery and exceeding client expectations. Your day will require you to;• Liaise and collaborate effectively with our Retail Product Owners. • Work within a small team of developers, providing technical direction and mentorship.• Drive innovation and excellence in digital experience solutions.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.• Utilise your expertise in front-end web development to deliver high-quality portal solutions.• Champion craftsmanship and quality outcomes in all aspects of technology delivery.• Escalate issues to vendors following technical analysis, and actively contribute to resolutions.• Make recommendations and participate in system changes and upgrades in response to platform, project, or business requirements.• Actively monitor and explore relevant emerging technologies, providing recommendations and guidance for technology adoption within the team and potential training targets.You can be located at any major EQL location. About you: You’ll have 5+ years’ experience with React, Typescript, CSS, HTML and Javascript. GraphQL and Python experience is a bonus. As well as 3+ years’ experience with the NextJS front end framework and a passion for UI/UX development is a must.You know your way around Git (including GitHub) and have a good understanding of version control.You're able to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow established standard processes.You've a proven ability to maintain a great attention to detail and able to thoroughly test their own work to ensure a high-quality hand over.You've a demonstrate strong understanding of AWS serverless devops methodologies and architectures and services including Lamdba, S3, Cloudwatch, DynamoDB and FargateYou're a professional with a degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Alternatively, you possess the equivalent industry experience and demonstrated competence appropriate to the position.
