About the team
In this position of a Developer, you will report into the Lead Engineer.
As a Software Engineer, you will use your engineering experience in your respective discipline, to design and implement software solutions with guidance of your peers from Technical Leadership and Architecture.
As an experienced developer, you will drive to ensure engineering and quality standards across the development process.
You will champion, and practice great engineering principals while empowering your peers to uplift their capability and quality. You will create a great team culture, by role modelling the technical standards, behaviours, collaborative approach, mindset to your fellow engineers.
Key responsibilities
You will act as an experienced software developer in an agile delivery squad, that will collaborate to deliver projects/products that are aligned with Coles business objectives

• You will be expected to be across the full SDLC of the products/services that you are working on.
• Toy will develop and implement software solutions in your respective skillset.
• You will be expected to contribute to the squads work and collaborate with your peers.
• You will be responsible to ensuring engineering standards and best practices are being followed, promoting fast feedback, automation, and focus on value delivery while ensuring evolutionary architecture and design
• You will be accountable for the quality of build and implementation of the products/services that are being built and delivered by you.
• You will provide technical support to the products/services that you and your squad are custodians of. ('You build it, you run it' approach)
• Drive towards the realisation of the technical vision of the products/assets that are being built, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise architecture
• Coach them towards the desired behaviours, shared values, and high performance (as individuals and as a team)
• You will be promoting a culture of collaboration, inclusiveness, openness and safety

About you and your skills

• Minimum of 5+ years professional experience as a developer in product development teams
• Experience working in complex system architectures, operations and support structures
• Experience delivering outcomes as part of a cross-functional group, using onshore/offshore delivery model and with 3rd party vendors and integrators
• Experience applying fundamental design principles such as SOLID, working in TDD, BDD and DDD environments, as well as exposure to architecture and design patterns
• Experience building solutions both in cloud-native and mixed environments across the entire relevant technical stack
• Strong experience in the following technologies: .NET Core, React, Terraform, AKS, Azure
• Experience with API development using technologies such as REST/JSON
• Experience with implementing Azure integration services (i.e., APIM, Event Grid, Service Bus, Function Apps)
• Relevant post-secondary qualification (in technology engineering discipline such as computer science, information systems engineering etc)
• Stakeholder management skills
