We’re looking for a quantitative developer to:
• continue the design, build and maintenance of the core platform that underpins our research and products
• help guide and build the pathway of our platform into the future
• develop and help maintain our API offering, suite of data products and quant research tools
• work closely with quant researchers build robust, production-ready research models
• work with our internal data teams and vendors to bring new capabilities to the platform
• engage with our risk and infrastructure teams and other research technologists to ensure platform stability
Your team
You’ll be working as part of the Quant Research team based in Australia (Sydney or Melbourne). Our global team spread over 8 locations consists of software developers and quantitative researchers. We develop quant-based alpha models (primarily covering Global Equities), risk analytics and partner with our fundamental analysts to deliver proprietary research and solutions for our institutional clients.
You’ll play an important role in keeping our platform at the leading edge of technology, whilst being lean, efficient and robust.
Your expertise
• A degree in Computer Science
• 2+ years software development (data structures and algorithms) within the finance sector or a similar environment
• Proficient in Python and its mainstream data/scientific libraries - able to design elegant solutions, write clean code and solve complex problems
• Familiar with source code management, build pipelines, and Gitlab/ADO or similar
• Experience of financial / time-series data and an understanding of Equities would be advantageous
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure) and UNIX environments would be advantageous
