The Team

Information Technology Services provides a wide range of IT facilities and support services to ASIC.  ASIC are seeking suitably qualified developers as we are undertaking major technology projects that will transform our business and continue our significant technology transformation in several areas such as virtualisation, data analytics, mobility, and cloud. 

The Applications & Integration Team develop, support, and maintain critical Registry Applications, supporting ASIC's stakeholder needs. Technologies used include Java, ADABAS/Natural, Oracle SOA, XML, WebLogic and MQ Series. We contribute and support both continuous improvement and business critical projects during Development, System test, User Acceptance test and Implementation phases of such projects.

As a Portal Developer, you will be accountable for:

• Developing solutions based on functional requirements and build technical design documents to deliver planned scope for the releases
• Support audit/regulatory processes and procedures and remediate issues swiftly.
• Preparation of application design, development and support of eBusiness and related applications. Development comprises of configuration, data migration, and integration activities.
• Ability to up-skill any new platforms and increase knowledge through training and on the job experience.
• Significant skill in assessing, analysing and resolving complex client and stakeholder related queries, utilising all relevant sources of information, data, applications and/or databases.

About you:

• Significant experience (3+ years) in Application design and development technologies.
• Excellent experience with Java, XML, and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol).
• Excellent working knowledge of Oracle ADF, UCM and task flow.
• Working knowledge of WebLogic Server 10.3.x platform.
• Working knowledge of mainstream RDBMS particularly Oracle DBMS.
• Proven track record of development and support activities.

As a Middleware Developer you will be accountable for:

• Developing solutions cases based on functional requirements and build technical design documents to deliver planned scope for the releases. (Utilising middleware relevant technology).
• Preparation of application design, development and support of middleware and related applications. Development comprises of configuration, data migration, and integration activities.
• Resolve P1 & P2 production issues in a timely manner by working with both business and incident management teams.
• Technical specialist knowledge in internal applications used in middleware such as SOA OSB & BEPL.
• Ability to up-skill any new platforms and increase knowledge through training and on the job experience.

About you:

• Significant experience (3+ years) in Application design and development of Middleware related technologies.
• Excellent experience with XML, WSDL (Web Service Description Language), and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol).
• Excellent working knowledge of mainstream messaging systems in particular Java Message Service (JMS).
• Working knowledge of WebLogic Server 12.x platform.
• Hands on experience with Oracle's Fusion Middleware including Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Oracle SOA Suite.

As a Java Developer, you will be accountable for:

• Preparation of application design, development and support of eBusiness and related applications. Development comprises of configuration, data migration, and integration activities.
• Provide Level 2 & 3 support which also includes addressing data issues and producing ad-hoc reports from the database layer as needed.
• Resolve P1 & P2 production issues in a timely manner by working with both business and incident management teams.
• Exposure to ASIC's Registry or Regulatory business functions is beneficial.
• Ability to up-skill any new platforms and increase knowledge through training and on the job experience.

About you:

• Significant experience (3+ years) in Application design and development technologies.
• Excellent experience with Java and XML.
• Excellent working knowledge of mainstream messaging systems in particular Java Message Service (JMS).
• Working knowledge of mainstream RDBMS in particular, MS SQL and Informix.
• Proven track record of development and support activities.

As a Mainframe Developer you will be accountable for:

• Undertake design, development, support and implementation activities.
• Provide Level 2 & 3 support including addressing data issues and producing ad-hoc reports from the database layer as needed.
• Develop working code and unit test cases based on functional requirements and building technical design to deliver planned scope for the releases/projects.
• Support audit/regulatory processes and procedures and remediating issues.
• Manage solution design, development and support of Mainframe applications and MQ Services, including integration with other applications.

About you:

• Technical specialist knowledge in Mainframe & Unix applications, ADABAS Natural, JCL, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions and MQ Series. Experience in Unix commands, C programming, HTML and Pearl would be highly regarded.
• Proven experience working as part of a project team, in a dynamic project/program environment as well as mentoring team members.
• Significant skill in assessing, analysing and resolving complex client and stakeholder related queries, utilising all relevant sources of information, data, applications and/or databases.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be accountable for outcomes.
