About the role
The Building Surveyor will be assisting with assessing routine development applications, providing customer advice and undertaking compliance inspections.
Duties
- Assessing routine development applications
- Providing customer advice
- Undertaking compliance inspections
- Implement appropriate, timely responses to dangerous structures and emergency situations
- Prepare high quality, accurate reports (as required) in preparation for legal prosecutions, prepare and issue legal Enforcement Notices and Orders and issue Expiations
- Provide high quality advice relating to building compliance in relation to Developments
Skill and experience
- Minimum qualification - Building surveying technician qualification
- Eligibility for accreditation
- White card (desirable)
- Current drivers licence
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
