Development Contributions Plan Officer

  • Temporary Part-Time position - 15 hours per week for 12 months
  • Starting salary $37.39 per hour plus 11% superannuation (commensurate with experience)
  • Provide high level administrative and logistical support for the Development Contributions Plan payments.
The Opportunity
  • Provide high level administrative and logistical support for the Development Contributions Plan payments.
  • To ensure the accuracy, availability and distribution of relevant information.
  • Provide high quality and professional customer service to all internal and external customers via a variety of contact channels.
  • Ensuring consistency in all aspects of customer service delivery in a fast paced, high volume environment, including timely follow up and resolution.
Responsibilities of the DCP Officer at Council include:
  • Provide administrative support for the issuing of Development Contributions Plan (DCP) payment invoices.
  • Completion of accurate and timely data entry.
  • Complete all other administrative tasks as required (including but not limited to lodgment in Pathway, preparing invoices, updating the building permit information spreadsheet and monitoring the DCP shared inbox for invoice and receipt requests).
  • Ensure the accurate lodgement and completion of Development Contributions Plan requests within prescribed time frames.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheet information regarding the application or issuing of Building permits, where DCP is triggered, calculate fees and issue invoices proactively.
Skills & Experience required
  • Experience in office administration or well-developed office administration skills including customer skills.
  • Work skills and experience in providing administrative support.
  • Previous experience working within a multi-skilled, high volume, customer driven environment
  • Demonstrated experience and aptitude in dealing with members of the public through a variety of contact channels such as; in person, via telephone, email, social media and other digital channels
  • Development Contributions Plan related administrative support would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Well-developed word processing and data entry skills and ability to move quickly between a range of different software applications to find and provide information
  • Ability to work within and contribute to a team environment.
  • Experience using Pathway and TRIM would be an advantage.
