Salary: UOM 7-$102,338-$110,780 p.a. plus 17% super

About the Role 
Here is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Officer, particularly suited for individuals with a background in property, project management or design and preferably with experience developing scientific education, research or other complex facilities. Your role will be pivotal in the planning and development of new spaces, working closely with the Senior Development Manager, and Development Managers across multiple projects.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting the procurement, appointment and monitoring of consultants (architectural, engineering, building surveyors, quantity surveyors, timetable analyst etc.) including coordinating site visits, meetings and requests for information 
  • Provide administrative, project support and contract management to ensure effective program and project management 
  • Support the drafting of project briefs for Program Steering Committee, procurement or stakeholder briefings 
  • Support the management and monitoring of progress, performance, budget, scope and change control for assigned projects 

Who we are looking for 
 
We’re looking for an individual who is motivated and has strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.   

You will also have: 

  • A relevant qualification and/or relevant working experience, preferably in property development, project management, design or a scientific field 
  • Involvement in the administration and coordination of projects in a similar role 
  • Experience in coordinating unique project requirements and working with a range of stakeholders 
  • Ability to draft reports and advanced computer skills such as Microsoft Suite

Your new team – Corporate Finance Property and Sustainability ( CFPS) 
The CFPS division’s key activities include strategy, planning and performance of the University’s estate, investment in and development of property, capital planning and associated investment processes, enterprise portfolio management monitoring and reporting, oversight of financial investment portfolios, treasury and financial risk management, debt and commercial advisory and execution, sustainability strategy development, planning and reporting, and communications and stakeholder engagement. 

The Development Team supports the Property function and includes wide-ranging specialist areas that are concerned with both highly strategic issues, technical due diligence as well as operational aspects of land, property and estate use and development. 

CFPS maintains a strong focus on building and maintaining a positive team culture as well as developing individual staff to their full potential.
