They are currently going through an exciting transformation period for their technology re-platforming. As part of this journey, opportunity arises for a DevOps Lead to work with a growing team supporting the platform which hosts in-house developed software applications for customers on AWS.
Responsibilities:
- Help the team maintain the existing CI/CD pipeline (Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, git/TFS, PowerShell)
- Assess and build new monitoring capability across on-premises & cloud hosted environments
- Design and implement new automation solutions using existing DevOps tools
- Manage the design and implementation of new pipelines
- Assist in Managing Projects through to completion with the Devops Manager
- Support implementation of our next generation product stack (Microservices, Terraform, EKS, Consul, Vault)
- Work with Cloud Engineers to develop AWS Solutions
- IT degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a similar role as a Lead
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methods
- Previous Software Engineer &/or IT Operations role's with significant scripting/coding experience
- Understanding of hosting production environments on AWS
- Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery build pipelines
- Experience working with microservices, containerisation (docker) and infrastructure as code
- A passion for automating manual processes
