About the program
AIR6500 is the RAAF's $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.
About you:
To be successful in the role you will have significant experience working within an agile framework, knowledge and experience of Software, along with;
- Significant knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab, ArgoCD and Rancher.
- Impressive knowledge and experience with Infrastructure-as- Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Packer
- Sound knowledge and experience with the Atlassian tools suite such as Jira and Confluence.
- Hands on grasp of automation tools and scripting to build deployment applications.

Your responsibilities will include:
As the DevSecOps Engineer you will Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and guidance to the team as alongside the following activities:
- Contribute to the building of CI/CD and DevOps infrastructure to support automated testing and deployment for AIR6500.
- Contribute to automation of software builds and build checkout testing and informal system integration activities
- Monitor and maintain the health of supporting DevOps infrastructure like container orchestration, build agents, monitoring tools and dashboards.
- Contribute to the administration and maintenance of DevSecOps controlled hosts.
- Contribute to the implementation of defined best practices for source control, continuous integration, and release management.
- Work with developers to identify, debug, and resolve build or deployment issues.
- Mentor/guide junior team members.
- Providing technical code reviews and analysis.
