Lismore Community Health has an exciting career opportunity for a Diabetes Nurse Educator to join their team. The Registered Nurse Diabetes Educator is responsible for the provision of safe, efficient and effective health interventions related to diabetes education and management within the community and hospital inpatient settings and to be a clinical resource person to the community and other health professionals in the area of diabetes.

If you have/are:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1). Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) recognised course in the management of diabetes. Working towards credentialing as a Diabetes Educator
- Knowledge and recent clinical experience in all aspects of management for clients with diabetes in both community and inpatient settings
- Ability to use problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care
- Effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others
