About the Opportunity
The team at Campbelltown Hospital are seeking a compassionate, personable, and communicative Diabetes Nurse Educator to join their highly skilled team. We are looking for a Credentialed Diabetes Educator in our Paediatric Diabetes service. Experience in Insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems is advantageous to work in the multidisciplinary team.
The role involves working within the Paediatric Diabetes Service and you will have a compassionate and approachable nature. You will also have the opportunity to gain leadership experience by providing mentorship and supervision to colleagues and other nursing staff.
What You'll Be Doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and 3 years relevant full time equivalent post registration experience and approved post graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications ( Credentialed Diabetes Educator ) in Paediatric Diabetes , or such other qualification, or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.

  • Demonstrated experience and skills in providing complex care in the relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based nursing care.
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
