AddressOur client has vacancies for permanent Diesel Fitters to join their team servicing and maintaining their growing fleet of machinery at the Port of Townsville.
The company you will be working for is a logistic, stevedoring, and integrated supply chain provider, headquartered in Townsville, Queensland with operations spanning throughout Queensland’s major port facilities including Gladstone, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and Weipa.
About the role:
- Preventative maintenance, diagnosis and corrective action on heavy machinery - diverse fleet of loaders, skid steers, trucks and more
- Completion of resource reports, job sheets and safe work method statements
- Minimising equipment failure, breakdown and production delays
- Participation in Toolbox Talks and active contribution to tasks at a team level
- Informative handovers and collaborative works with other maintenance personnel
- Tradesperson certificate - Essential
- Manual drivers’ license - Essential
- MSIC - highly desirable
- Experience and knowledge of mobile equipment, diagnosis, repair and maintenance
- Auto electrical experience is desirable but not essential
