Agnico Eagle owns and operates the Fosterville Gold Mine which is located on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, approximately 20 kilometres east of Bendigo in Central Victoria. DIESEL FITTER
Fosterville Gold Mine invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the position of Diesel Fitter. The primary purpose of this position is to lead the planned/breakdown maintenance of equipment in accordance with site procedures and maintenance sheets primarily focusing on our Normet Shotcrete & Charge Up Fleets.
Reporting to the Mobile Fleet Supervisor, your duties will include:
- Completion of required preventative and breakdown maintenance on mobile fleet equipment with a focus on Normet Shotcrete & Charge Up machines, along with diagnosing faults, defect capture and repairs
- Workshop and underground servicing and repairs
- Maintain availability and condition of equipment to a high standard
- Accurate reporting of faults found and completion of maintenance records
- Provide diagnostic fault finding on breakdowns
- Act in accordance with site standards policies and procedures
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Mechanical trade qualifications
- Underground mobile fleet maintenance experience
- 5 years’ experience in trade position servicing and maintaining diesel equipment
- Hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
- Ability to coach/mentor apprentices and other team members
- Pronto knowledge (desirable)
The roster for this residential position will be 8/6 days only.
A competitive rate will be offered in line with the relevant classification contained in the Fosterville Enterprise Agreement 2021.
