Diesel Fitter - Heavy Earth Moving Machinery - Rockhampton

Essjay Contracting Pty Ltd are a family owned business, currently seeking two experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our team. 

They are full-time permanent positions with roster to be negotiated upon application. The positions are based in Rockhampton but will require regular travel to project sites including Clarke Creek, Moranbah & Clermont. 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, they will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on the mobile fleet of Heavy Earth Moving machinery and trucks, in the field and workshop. They will also perform inspections to determine condition and suitability to return to service.

ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidates (qualified Diesel Fitters) will need to be able to demonstrate at least, a sound knowledge of fault finding and repair on earthmoving equipment.  Most importantly, you must be trustworthy, reliable, have the ability to communicate well and take pride in your high standard of work.  

The below attributes are required - 

• Relevant Diesel Fitter / heavy vehicle trade qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role – maintaining a broad range of machinery and trucks. 
• High levels of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations.
• Safety focus, with a high attention to detail and abide by site safety processes.
• Able to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
