About the Role
Due to unprecedented demand, PremiAir has a full-time, permanent position available with an immediate start for an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our busy facility located in Eastern Creek, NSW.
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, the main responsibility of the role is to service and maintain diesel-driven hire equipment including Compressors, Generators, Light Towers and a variety of vehicles and trucks.
Duties
- Repair and maintenance of hire equipment to PremiAir and OEM standards.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing on equipment both in the workshop and on customer sites.
- Other appropriate duties as required/directed
Skills and Experience
You must possess a strong sense of urgency with an "I will make it happen" attitude to get the job done. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience working on trucks and heavy vehicles
- Strong mechanical, fault finding and problem-solving skills
- Can work unsupervised and listen and follow instructions
- Has a strong team mind-set and a willingness to learn new products
- Can work a reasonable amount overtime, if/when required and be a part of our on-call roster
- Is reliable, punctual with excellent work ethics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Current HR drivers’ licence and forklift ticket
- Construction Induction (White Card)
Previous experience and success in a similar role will be highly regarded, however, the successful applicants will be appointed primarily based on attitude and the desire to assist the business in the next phase of growth.
