Job Description
As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing and maintenance within the client's modern workshop, maintaining a variety of heavy industrial and commercial waste vehicles, plant and equipment in a timely manner. A typical day will also include completing scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor/Leading Hand in an efficient and timely manner, completing work orders, purchase orders and part requisitions daily and in full, recording, monitoring stock and part levels, advising any discrepancies.
What you will require
• Experience with Trucker and Waste Vehicles
• Australian recognised Diesel / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic's trade certificate.
• Proven mechanical knowledge / experience within the automotive repair industry.
• Forklift ticket is desirable.
• Open to recent graduates, Diesel Fitters or Light Vehicle Mechanics looking to up skill or gain experience within the waste industry.
• Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical check relevant to the role.
