Form of workMain duties will include:
- Carrying out trailer and truck inspections, timely repairs and major services
- Minor electrical repairs
- The safe use of hand power tools to complete tasks
- Heavy lifting involved
- Assist in other workshop tasks and duties, including the maintenance and servicing of the linehaul prime mover fleet.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Technical understanding in all aspects of heavy vehicle and Trailer Mechanics
- Ability to look outside the square
- Reliable and punctual
- Attention to detail
- Be a team player
- Sound knowledge of semi-trailer servicing and mechanical repairs to semi-trailers.
- Heavy vehicle license, would be held in high regard, but not mandatory.
On-the-job training will be provided as necessary and salary will be negotiated dependent on experience/trade qualifications at the time of the interview.
These are full-time day shift positions, however, the option to transfer onto afternoon shift will be available once the shift is established
