AddressWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our Nyrstar Port Pirie plant, working across a broad range of earth moving equipment, machinery, and heavy transport vehicles. This exciting opportunity is full-time, working 12-hour shifts on a 4on/4off roster, with flexibility on start and finish times, and rosters.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting mechanical preventive maintenance & repairs to customer units which includes servicing and breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing of mechanical problems and testing of completed repairs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience working unsupervised and as part of a small team
- Experience working on heavy machinery, vehicles, and equipment
- Ability to complete accurate details on job sheets, timesheets and any other service requirements.
Requirements:
- Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
- A current driver’s licence (a HR licence is beneficial but not essential)
- A Safety 1st Always Works attitude
- Have a strong background servicing, repairing, and maintaining trucks or heavy machinery.
- Show a strong work ethic & high attention to detail.
- Forklift Licence and other heavy vehicle experience would be advantageous.
