AddressOMTraders PTY LTD, a leading logistics and transport company with 10 years of experience in South Australia, is seeking a reliable and experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain our fleet of company trucks.
- Inspect and repair company trucks with diesel engines, including Skel, Sideloader, Tautliner, Prime only, and Prime/Trailer or Skel configurations, replacing old mechanical parts and conducting tests after installation.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance on engine assemblies, including oil and tire changes, lubrication, and upkeep of steering and transmission components, ensuring compliance with pollution regulations.
- Interpret computer diagnostic test results accurately to identify issues and solutions specific to diesel trucks.
- Write detailed inspection reports and repair plans for company trucks, ensuring clarity and accuracy..
- Submit reports and repair plans for approval to management, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
- Advise management on repair options and costs, providing clear and professional recommendations.
- Conduct test drives to ensure trucks run correctly post-repair.
- Ensure the safe use of electricity, machinery, and hand tools in all repair activities.
- Comply with all rules and standards of the company’s maintenance protocols, maintaining a high standard of work.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
You Should Demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel trucks.
- Appropriate trade certification (Cert III or a minimum of 3 years of experience).
- Quick thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for discovering solutions to challenges.
- Good time management, organization, and collaboration capabilities.
