We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join the maintenance team, to assist with Island based projects. We are looking for a long-term employee with a minimum 12-month tenure. Please attach a cover letter outlining your experience and commitment.
This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per annum based on skills and experience.
Position Overview:
Being an experienced and trade certified Motor/ Diesel Mechanic, you will take accountability for our land-based Diesel generators and Resort petrol vehicles.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- General servicing of diesel generator engines and resort vehicles.
- Fault diagnosis and repair of engines and vehicle issues.
- Keeping company documentation up to date and accurate.
- Assisting with general resort maintenance duties including after-hours call out roster as required.
- Other works as directed by management.
Skills and experience:
You will have a minimum 12-month's experience in a similar position, and the possess the following skills:
- Trade Certification.
- Experience with diesel engines.
- Time management, great communicator and thorough.
Mandatory:
- Must have a current National Police Check issued by Queensland Police or able to obtain one within three weeks of commencing employment- for all live on Island staff.
- Must hold a current QLD Manual Driver’s License.
