We have an opportunity for an APD to join our multidisciplinary team in Karratha, in the North West of WA. You will ideally bring to the position a passion for nutrition, healthcare and helping people, along with the required qualifications, well-developed communication skills, enthusiasm and a sense of adventure.
The successful applicant will join a team of health professionals working at Panaceum’s Pilbara Health Centre.
The work includes a varied mix of individuals/clinical clients seen in the practice in Karratha, and as well, the role includes regular regional visits with the Chronic Disease Team to more remote communities within the Pilbara - specifically including six 4-day visits to Onslow, and six 4-day visits to Tom Price.
A sound knowledge of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic renal disease, weight management and aboriginal health is desired, and new graduates are definitely encouraged to apply.
This position is available as a full-time contract position, with the possibility of extension.
It is full-time commencing in April / May 2024, and runs through to June 30, 2025, with a strong possibility of extension (when funding is granted).
A shorter contract, if the applicant is not available for this full period, may be considered.
Accomodation is not supplied with the job, though assistance through City of Karratha may be available. The successful applicant will need to make their own arrangements in regard to accomodation.
