An opportunity has become available to join the Simply Health Group (t/a Simply Engage Occupational Therapy & Simply Nutrition Dietitians) team as an Occupational Therapist.
You will be part of a small, dynamic, fun and hard-working team with full administrative and clinical support. Key Responsibilities
- Use motivational interviewing approaches to support your clients in achieving the goals they need or want to do.
- Design and implement innovative, thoughtful, and meaningful client-centred therapy plans with participants, their families, supports and groups.
- Review, adjust and critique therapeutic plans to ensure their efficacy.
- Ensure evidence-based and quality service delivery via therapy, report writing and within your team.
- Advocate persistently for your clients through quality report writing, i.e., functional capacity assessments, minor home modifications, equipment prescriptions, housing assessments, support advocation and plan reviews.
- Use, interpret and incorporate results from clinical assessments into client reports and therapeutic plans.
- Prescribe necessary equipment and minor home modifications.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload, including individuals who experience cognitive, neural, physical and psychological difficulties.
- Conducting individual or group consultations within an office or a client's home environment.
- Designing and facilitating group-based therapy work in conjunction with allied health assistants.
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best client outcomes.
- Administration: re-booking clients
- Adhering to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

What we are looking for—ABOUT YOU
- A good human and a great Occupational Therapist.
- Hold a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy with current registration with AHRPA.
- Work tirelessly for your clients, with them at the centre of all your tasks.
- Warm, empathetic nature with a passion for caring for people.
- High moral values, a sense of integrity and be trustworthy
- Demonstrated experience with delivering face-to-face, telehealth and video conference consultations.
- Impeccable time management skills.
- Initiative to see a problem and find a solution.
- A can-do attitude with a willingness to give things a go.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure accurate documentation.
- The ability to fit within our close-knit team.
- A demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with NDIS, DVA, and private and home care caseloads.
- Strong leadership skills that promote accountability and integrity throughout the workforce
- Extremely reliable and mature outlook on dealing with a fast-paced and ever-changing operating environment
- The ability to work autonomously, as well as a member of the team.
- Ideally, have at least 2 + years of experience, however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in supporting adults with cognitive, neural, physical and psychological difficulties.

About Us
Simply Health Group includes a team of Occupational Therapists (Simply Engage), Dietitians (Simply Nutrition), Allied Health Assistants and a supportive administration and leadership team. We are a private clinic based on the Sunshine Coast and provide services from Gympie, South Burnett and Brisbane. We provide in-clinic and home visit services locally and online consultations nationally. We are a team of dedicated, warm professionals focused on understanding & listening to our client's needs for improved health. We provide quality service to both individuals and groups. Our clients are at the centre of everything we do, and we take pride in always understanding their needs to support them best.
Our team is very close-knit, with some staff being on our team for ten + years. We have fostered an amazing reputation in the health industry both locally and nationally and consistently have referrers seeking us to serve their clients, groups and corporations.
Location and hours of work:
- Based in our Bli Bli (Sunshine Coast) head office
- Hours: full time (38 hrs per week) or part-time available
