Position Description:
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Accredited Dietitian (DAA) to become a part of a proactive company and work collaboratively with the other Dietitians, along with allied health and medical staff. You will be working across various medical centers, the Fraser Coast Head Office, and aged care facilities within Hervey Bay and Maryborough with some travel to Bundaberg. The successful applicant will be working on a full-time basis (5 days per week), stepping into an existing patient load and will be servicing medical centres and allied health facilities which have an established referral base.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide evidence-based nutrition advice and treatment in the areas of chronic disease prevention and management.
Measure and assess the patients’ diet history along with interpreting biochemistry and anthropometric data.
Facilitate and instruct community cooking demonstrations and supermarket tours where required.
Public speaking- to present informative talks about a range of health topics on nutrition/health where required.
Travel to the required service delivery location and provide exemplary service to your clients.
Drivers License and own car is required.
Skills and Experience:
Accredited (Provisional or Full) Dietitian through the Dietitians Associated of Australia (ESSENTIAL)
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain rapport.
Possess and apply knowledge of evidence-based treatment, management and research about a wide range of health issues and diseases including diabetes, obesity, malnutrition, cardiovascular disease, applicable in the field of dietetics.
