COMMUNITY HEALTH PAEDIATRIC DIETITIAN - Grade 3 Senior Clinician

  • Permanent Part Time 2 x 7.6hr Days per week l Experience Work Life Balance l 0.4 EFT

About the role


You will provide specialist paediatric clinical dietetics services to paediatric clients and their families at Eastern Health Community Health , utilising both group and individual therapy models. You will work closely with other paediatric allied health professionals and allied health assistants to ensure effective training empowers parents/caregivers to become key partners in their child’s clinical intervention/therapy. 

As a Senior Clincian, you will work with the leadership team at Community health to inspire, influence and motivate staff and to contribute to a positive and compassionate organisational culture.  You will identify and lead quality improvement projects as well as support grade 2/1 team members with clinical supervision.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Minimum of seven years practical experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
  • Extensive clinical experience in managing complex paediatric and feeding clients

  • Eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia and the Accredited Practicing Dietitian Program.
  • Participation in Accredited Practising Dietitian program of DA or ability to demonstrate that equivalence to APD requirements are maintained on an annual basis.

  • Demonstrated ability to undertake professional supervision and promote professional competence of other dietetic staff

  • Demonstrated high level of analytical thinking and investigative skills involving research & quality activities, benchmarking and resource identification, including innovative, service delivery models
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Passion in working with families from vulnerable backgrounds
