Murkani Jewellery is a Melbourne based jewellery brand that was established in 2013 and is Australian owned and designed.
Known for our refined aesthetic taking inspiration from symbolism and pattern in ancient architecture, art and travel, we create contemporary pieces using long wearing, natural materials made ethically. MURKANI is stocked in over 120 boutiques across Australia, NZ and Asia Pacific.
MURKANI is looking for a candidate to work in our small but fun, dynamic and hardworking team to help develop and execute our company strategy and drive our brand forward globally.
The role will be based in MURKANI’s open plan office in Armadale, close to great cafes, and good transport options.
About the role
We are looking for someone who understands that working at an entrepreneurial and fast-growing company involves being hands on and team oriented. This role reports directly into the owner of the company and gives the individual a chance to gain exposure to most areas across the company and grow the role within the company as we expand.

As a fast growing start up, your role is critical in:
MARKETING
- New season planning includes managing the brand photoshoot, the product photoshoot, new digital creative production and developing the sales materials with our in-house Graphic Designer, Marketing Assistant & coordinating with external printers.
- Ensuring a consistent aesthetic throughout all comms platforms & channels.
- Content writing – Blogs, website, social media.
- Management of database marketing - EDMs: creating/scheduling/reporting
- Manage the promotion of our charity collection with our charity partners.
- Manage relationship with the PR agency for brand and seasonal collections.
- Create outreach programs directly with stylists & influencers to drive media and celeb wearing content.
- Drive design projects for new packaging & point of sale as required with designer.
- Assist in management of the inhouse part-time Graphic Designer. & Marketing Assistant.
- Trade show management of stand design & promotional material planning and execution.
WEBSITE MANAGEMENT
- Coordinate with web developer to ensure website performance and best practice.
- Website SEO management.
- Update website with new collections & content creation (blogs & posts) as well as key page updates.
- Manage key website upgrade projects as required.
DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS
- Manage digital agency and create new content for new product launches, events and sale events.
- Social media creation, scheduling and reporting in accordance with Marketing Plan
- End to end content creation & sourcing (flat lays, reels, promoting key events, website features etc.)
- Organise and track giveaways and collaborations with relevant brands.
- Manage in-house Photoshoots: Preparation, planning and execution for seasonal and product launches (on talent + styled flat lay + web shots).
Our ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in business, Communications or Marketing preferred
- 3+ years' relevant professional marketing experience
- Strong communication skills
- Have omni-channel experience and a good understanding of social media, e-commerce and digital marketing metrics and channels
- Experience in digital & social content creation and management of different social media platforms
- Excellent blog and copywriting skills
- Results and performance driven
- Knowledge and experience in working with influencers and PR
- Able to use Adobe Photoshop and IIlustrator proficiently
- SEO, SEM and paid social media experience.
- Google Analytics experience
