About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Digital Learning Support Officer with a unique blend of technical expertise and pedagogical insight to join our team. In this role, you'll provide invaluable support to academic staff, offering consultations on Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) with a keen eye for pedagogical considerations.
Collaborating within a dynamic team, you'll help shape and deliver professional development and training programs, while also crafting engaging web-based resources and hosting online workshops to empower our teaching staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing consulting services to teaching and support staff on LMS, digital exams and other TEL platforms, participating in resolving support inquiries and consultation requests, applying best practices in Digital Learning and pedagogy.
  • Identifying gaps and updates for support materials to enhance technical and pedagogical capacity in TEL platforms for student-focused, interactive, flexible, and open teaching practices.
  • Designing, delivering, and maintaining support materials, learning design frameworks, exemplars, workshops, and other professional development activities for staff to effectively implement teaching, learning, and assessment with TEL, enhancing capability in flexible learning and teaching.


Who we are looking for
Are you a tech-savvy individual with a profound grasp of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies? We're on the lookout for someone exceptionally organised, detail-oriented, and dedicated to constant improvement. Your outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are key to maintaining high-quality professional communication standards. Leveraging your expertise, you'll craft engaging professional development programs—online or in-person—fostering effective utilisation of digital technologies and assessments.

You will also have:

  • Relevant degree with subsequent experience, extensive specialist expertise, or equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
  • Practical experience designing educational materials and communications to enhance technology utilization in teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Practical experience providing technical and/or pedagogical support for TEL platforms or other software platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, adept at effectively liaising with diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
